Sometimes, there are no words that can express how difficult it is to watch your team fall.
For instance, when your team draws the reigning World Champions in the first game of their 2007 season and has to play the game without their #1 pick, but still somehow finds themselves one possession from the lead with less than 2 minutes to play- it’s hard to write the recap. Fortunately, there are authors like Richard Bach, who have prepared us for such moments. The Portland Trail Blazers call on all fans to "Rise With Us" as it embarks on a new season full of possibility. The team releases its 2007/08 season theme on Monday, October 29th. "Rise With Us"speaks to a young team with a bright future. It's an invitation to the city to be a part of the unfolding story.
This year the team will be documenting the entire season in a way it has never done before by placing cameras in the hands of the players, staff members, and fans. This documentary style, behind-the-scenes view will capture what is naturally occurring at practices, on the road and during games. "We want to pull back the curtain even farther and engage the entire community in this very real journey of how our young and exciting team will grow and how the team and the city will unite," said Larry Miller, President, Portland Trail Blazers.
